Jazz Band

Open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band members on any instrument.  No audition required. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of how to succeed as a jazz musician. Students will play their instruments and learn basic characteristics of jazz style, articulations, rhythms, tone, and swing feel. Students will prepare big band music, and participate in several performances at the school and local performance venues.
